South Africa scripted a clinical win over Scotland, with a huge margin of one thirty runs and eventually blows Scotland, out of the tournament. Ab de Villers, who was in a magical form right through IPL, continued his prime form with the bat, through some shots of rich pedigree, which took the audience as well as Scotland aback.

South Africa unlike New Zealand, were clinical in all facets of the game. Graeme Smith and Jacques kallis gave a solid start upfront, so that rest of the batsmen can reap rich benefits and also launch through a solid platform.

Just when the opening duo were looking ominous, Haq removed both the batsmen and brought Scotland into the game. It sounded they would have been better of being contend with opening duo, as two wickets means Ab de Villers in the crease, who has asserted himself as a world ‘s best batsmen in current season and he showed, that he is no lesser batsmen in this format as well.

Ab De Villers class and calibre along with his poise was too much, for Scotland bolwers, as no bowler, who had to bowl at him was sparred and he smashed a spanking  seventy nine runs from mere thirty four balls with six mouth watering sixes.

Villers even emulated Albie Morkel innings, who also hit two huge sixes in share of Scottish demolition and South Africa romped to their highest total in this format of the game by scoring two hundred and eleven runs.

Scotland captain Hamilton came, to open along with Ryan Watson, to shoulder their chase of titanic total, but South African opening bowlers Dale Steyn along with Wayne Parnell were too fast and furious for in experienced line- up, which Scotland posses.

Steyn and Parnell picked wickets upfront, to quell any thoughts of Scotland upheaval and Poonia, who played brilliantly against New Zealand yesterday ran himself out, which further dented their chase.

Only consolation for Scotland was the batting of Coetzer, who took a brilliant catch of Mark Boucher early in the innings, played some good cricketing shots and also hit few sixes in the process. He eventually was top scorer for their team with forty odd runs.

Spin duo of South Africa namely Johan Botha and Merwe were very economical, so were the rest of the bowlers and finished the demolition job, when Scotland score was just eighty one runs. Certainly Graeme Smith wouldn’t have much to complain with.
