Pakistan batsmen for a change fired with all guns blazing especially Kamran Akmal, who was promoted from his first down position to the opening, adored the role with a solid start, that gave a perfect impetus, for the rest of the batsmen to relish on.

The openers withered Dirk Nannes storm, who was furiously fast in his first two over but showed their liking to bowler at the other end by name Schifreli but Salman Butt fell to Ten Doeschate  with eighteen runs to his name, just when he was looking ominous.

Even though neither of the Pakistan batsmen failed to make a half – century, everybody came and whipped the ball right from the beginning ,without expending balls on settling down, a strategy which reaped rich scoring rate,  for them.

Except for Nannes no other bowler was spared, as even Borren and Stellar who were effective, in their previous match were abortive, in the process, to curtail the run flow. Younis Khan, Misbah – ul – Haq and Sahid Afridi played a few nerve – cracking cameo  in the end which took their team to one seventy five runs.

Dutch batsmen started their chase knowing, that they have, to get mere one fifty one runs, to push Pakistanis out of the tournament Via net run – rate and they had a perfect aggressive start ,in form of Reekers, but he departed, for a quick fire thirteen.

Netherland batsmen would have fancied the chances, of scoring one fifty one in the break, but Pakistan soin duo Sahid  Afridi and Saeed Ajmal did the trick for Pakistan , as they picked seven out of ten wickets of Dutch to stage a horrible collapse.

All the Pakistani bowlers were clinical, with their line and length, which was too much, for Dutch, to handle and they were consistent in only consistently losing the wickets and were bundled out, for a meagre score of ninety three runs.

Kamran Akmal who made hay with bat had a dream time behind stumps, as he staged three brilliant stumping, to add a much needed reputation, to his keeping skills which has come under criticism and he deservingly earned the man  of the match award.
