Ireland continued their reputation for upsets, as they fabricated a breath – taking performance, to oust Bangladesh’s super eight dreams and gave themselves a berth, in super eight.

Ireland opening pair Brey and Porterfield struggled to get away with a good start, as they found elusive, to put the bat with the ball. Porterfield even though got off to a reasonable start failed, to make use of it, as he got out to Abdur Razzak.

The biggest difference between both the teams, were O  Brein brothers, where initially Bangladesh was hit by Neil O Brein’s storm, as he clouted forty runs from twenty five balls to give Ireland a belief, to romp their side, to the finish line.

Bangladesh spinners Naeem islam, Shakib – ul – Hassan and Abdur Razzak bowled impressively to restrict the Ireland batsmen and to add their part, to the mounting run – rate.

But Kevin O Brein , showed that his impressive performance, in previous world cup in carribean is not a fluke , as he drove Ireland home by hitting some lusty blows in the end, onslaught which commenced with bowling of Ruebel Hossain and he finished the match, with ten balls to spare.

Clearly Mohammad Ashraful decisions with the bolwing change were debatable, as he kept away the spinners, whom Ireland batsmen found difficult, to get away weren’t bowled at the end and it made Kevin o Brein work bit easier.
