England Vs Pakistan ICC T20

Pakistan captain Younis Khan won the toss and put England in, to only witness his bowlers dishing out inconsistent performance, which saw some breath taking deliveries, along with some horrendous balls. Boundaries were almost inevitable for English batsmen, thanks largely to Pakistani’s inconsistent line and length.

Mohammad Amar, who made his inetnational T 20 debut, was impressive in bits and pieces and he removed dangerous Ravi Bopara, in his second ball. Luke Wright showed his intent right form the ball one and he provided a perfect T 20 innings of thirty four runs ,from mere sixteen deliveries ,to put England in a commanding position.

Kevin Pietersen  showed, how much he was missed ,in the Netherlands game and  proved to be the cornerstone of English batting, as he knitted two half century partnership one with Luke Wright and other one with Owais Shah, which  helped them to reach a formidable total of one hundred and eight five runs. He hit fifty seven runs in thirty odd balls and also mulled any Pakistani’s spin scare.

Saaed Ajmal was the only bowler, who bowled with some consistency and sense, as he restricted England from reaching to target of two hundred runs, by some tight death bowling giving mere twenty three runs and also picking two wickets.

England opened with Dimitri Mascarenhas, whose conventional slow medium was too much for the Pakistani’s openers to get going and Salman Butt even though crafted few boundaries looked patchy, in his entire innings and he wasted his start gifting his wicket, to England.

Pakistan batsmen looked like a dumb – squib in front of fiery England bowling attack and no batsmen looked like launching  a fight back, to chase the mammoth total, of one eighty five runs.

Chris Broad was very impressive for England and their balance hit the right chord, with return of Graeme Swann who  saw that no cheap runs are leaked in the middle over’s and captain Younis Khan had to play for some pride and run – rate in the end, which in no way appeared, to be played to emerge victorious.

Now Pakistan has been pushed in the corner by England, Who are almost certain to make it ,into the Super Eight, with a healthy run rate, but  whereas Pakistan had ,to register a comprehensive victory over Dutch, if they have any chance, to qualify, for the next round.
