Punjab Kings XI registered their third consecutive win, by defending a meagre total of 120 and emerging, as one of the potential contenders for title. Match went down, to the wire, where either team had shot, at a win, till the final ball was bowled.

Earlier Yuvraj Singh won toss and opted to bat, but only to witness his batsmen falling apart like nine pins. Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar asserted the fact that, he has one of best brains around, by bringing in Harbhajan singh well before six over and the move accounted for stumping of Karan Goel.
