Deccan Chargers target of one hundred and sixty six proved, to be too much, at the end, for Rajasthan Royal batsmen, whose form in series has been oscillating, like a South African town bus.

Dwayne Smith fired in big time, for Deccan Chargers, where his late over hitting and literally took the match away from the Rajasthan Royals. Deccan Chargers ringed in some important changes like taking Dwayne Smith in , instead of  Gibbs and also Chaminda Vaas in for Ryan Harris, which proved to be a golden move.

Chaminda Vaas, gave a much better start to their under – fire bowling department and took two price scalps of Graeme Smith and Caseldrine, which proved too much for the rest of batsmen to amend the sinking ship.

Earlier Deccan Chargers batsmen never allowed their opposition bowlers, to settle for any line and length, where they never minded about losing wickets or fear of getting out, which was heartening to see.

Even though they lost wickets in continuous interval, where they failed to make a half – century partnership in their entire innings, but with big hitters like Suman, Andrew Symonds and Dwayne Smith firing, they had a great harvest season with bat.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled exceptionally well, for his team, by claiming two price scalps of Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma, but that dint stop Dwayne Smith carnival, who hit some brilliant strokes, which left Shane Warne, with much of options and to some puzzling moves, liket making use of Munaf Patel for one over.

It was certainly one of the worst days, for Shane Warne as a bowler, where he was treated with disdain and it sounded that Deccan batsmen have mastered the master spinner.

Rajsthan Royals had one of the worst possible starts, set to chase of one sixty six, by losing both Smith and Carseldine early. Ashnolkar and N Ojha forged a threatening partnership, but lost both of them in form of run – outs.

Much was expected of Yusuf Pathan, but he was foxed by Deccan Chargers crisis man Prajan Ojha and with him went any minute hopes of Rajasthan Royals to chase down titanic total and Ravindra Jadeja, who shone with ball replicated a similar effort with bat as well, but there was lack of support from, the other end and could only discover his team losing, by margin, of above fifty runs in the end.
