Wasim Akram optimistic about Pakistan rule in England T 20 world cup

Former Pakistani pace sensation has made his opinion loud and clear, that his country are going ,to be real title contenders this season without doubt, in World T 20 , which is going, to be staged, from next month June in England.

He expressed, that Pakistan had the better win ratio in T 20 format, when placed parallel, to the other countries and they can be seriously threatening attack, with pace attack comprising of Sohail  Tanvir, Umar Gul , who can be ideal for this format of the game.

He also evaded the experts opinion, that India are real favourites to clinch this year world cup and expressed ,that Indian players  looked tired and worn out, after their incessant schedule, but Pakistanis are very much fresh and they have played very less cricket and can be a source of ebullition, in the field.

Recently Pakistan named Ifithikar Rao as  a replacement, for sohaib Akthar , citing his skin problems as reason, but the Pakistani selectors back home are fuming, that they were not even consulted, before coach Inthikab Alam along with their assistant coach Aquib Javed arrived, at such a decision .

Akram brushed aside Sohaib Akthar controversy and advocated, for a talented seventeen year old pacemen by name Mohammed Aamir, as a man to watch out for. He added that ,he was impressed by the young rookies potential in swinging the ball in both ways and also he has much needed pace as well.

Akram said ,that he thought his side would be crushed, against Australia, in a T 20 match held in United Arab Emirates, but was puzzled,, to see his national team defeating Australia comprehensively and if they replicate a similar spirited performance then there is no reason that they can’t lift the trophy in England.

He also expressed, that present Pakistan captain Younis Khan should learn, from his mistakes and hone his captaincy skills, so that Pakistan can be a major force to reckon with and stated that Pakistan made some silly mistakes in their recent ODi series against Australia.

Now with saeed Aajmal, who was reported, for controversial action being cleared, to play in world cup, the Pakistan onslaught in world cup sounds to be very much viable and Pakistan, which hasn’t lost a match ever since finals of world cup 2007 could be a serious contender for sure.
